WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE SELL

The brothers Berto founded the Upholstery Atelier in 1974. We are specialized in the production of upholstery items and furniture, totally custom made and according to drawing: from a single sofa, bed or armchair up to the interior design, from shop furniture up to the hotel contract. Our laboratory is in Meda (MB), right in the middle of the Brianza wood furniture district.

HOW AND WHERE WE SELL

We sell our products in two one-brand showrooms, one in Meda and the other one in Rome, or even online on our e-commerce website (with translations in English, French, German, Spanish and Russian). Our Online Shop offers the opportunity of defining your purchase through a dropdown menu related to the product and a simple guided checkout procedure and payment. Thanks to the experience of our furniture consultants you can specify every single detail of your product as if you were inside our laboratory.

HOW TO BUY ON OUR WEBSITE

HOW TO BROWSE IN THE CATEGORIES OF THE WEBSITE

The main menu is divided in principal categories which define the BertO Catalogue: sofas, sofa beds, armchairs, beds, chairs, tables and coffee tables. Each category is then divided into sub-categories that filter the different product groups (for instance sectional sofas, chesterfield sofas, leather sofas and so on). In every product sheet you can find a form that allows you to chat directly with our furniture consultants, to ask for quotes, delivery information, production time and totally custom made personalization (up to the centimeter).
If you click on ONLINE SHOP reported on the main menu, you can go directly to BertO e-commerce, which is divided into categories and sub-categories as well. The products listed in this section can be purchased and personalized directly online.

ONLINE SHOP PRODUCTS: HOW TO CALCULATE THE PRICE

In every product sheet of our ONLINE SHOP you can find dropdown menu that provides, step by step, the custom made realization of the product by choosing sizes, covers, colors and optional. The price will be automatically calculated after every new configuration.

HOW TO USE THE BUTTON “TALK TO US”

If you look for a direct contact with our furniture consultants, if you wonder how to get the item custom made, if you do not find what you are looking for or you would like to get some cover samples at home, just click on TALK TO US and tell us what your requests are. We will do our best to satisfy your demands.

HOW TO CHOOSE COVERS AND COLORS

Every product in our ONLINE SHOP has a digital sample case. Each cover is digitalized in our photography studio and images are treated with high quality procedure, with neutral light and published on our website with texture 1:1. Although we use careful digitalizing processes, colors might change somehow on the basis of the monitor in use and the light conditions at the moment. You have to take into account that the colors applied on small surfaces (such as our digital samples) are normally perceived darker than the ones on our products (that will have larger surfaces of course). In order to receive more information about our digital sample case or if you have any doubt about colors and matches, we kindly ask you to contact our furniture consultants who will help you with the best solution for you requests.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET SOME SAMPLES AT HOME?

BertO offers an innovative service for the delivery of samples directly at home. To ask for a sample, please fill in the forms related to the product sheet and specify model, cover and color you would like to receive. Our furniture consultants will contact you to give you all information about the service and the delivery procedure.

PURCHASE AND PAYMENT

HOW TO BUY ONLINE

After having defined the product click on the bottom ADD TO CART. On the following page you will be asked to calculate all transport charges by adding destination and delivery methods. By clicking on the button PROCEED TO CHECKOUT you will be required to Log in with username and password in order to get to the final step of the purchase. If you do not have an account, you just have to create a new one by filling in the requested data. Once you have logged in you will be asked to select a payment method and then conclude the order by clicking the button PLACE ORDER. You will immediately receive an email with a summary of the articles you have bought and, once the order is processed, our Customer Service will send you the order confirmation.

I AM NOT USED TO IT, CAN I BUY THE PRODUCTS IN A DIFFERENT WAY?

Of course! If you are not used to buy online or if you have specific demands, you can easily contact our furniture consultants. Just send an email or call us: Maurizio, Arianna or Marion will assist you in defining the order together with you.

WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept Paypal, Credit Card and Bank Transfer. If you pay by Bank Transfer – for minimum order higher than € 500,00 – it is possible to pay 30% at the placement of the order and the balance of 70% before the delivery of the goods.

I HAVE A DISCOUNT CODE, HOW CAN I USE IT?

Inside the Cart you find a specific box where you can write the promotional code you have received. Once you have written the code then click SEND CODE: our computer system will automatically update the total amount of your order considering the discount provided by the code.

PRICES

DO THE PRICES ON THE WEBSITE INCLUDE VAT?

Yes, all prices listed in the product data sheet and in the cart include VAT. In case of a delivery to Switzerland our computer system will automatically deduct the VAT and show the total amount, VAT excluded.

I AM A SWISS CUSTOMER, WHICH PRICES WILL APPEAR TO ME?

In case of a delivery to Switzerland our computer system will automatically deduct the VAT and show the total amount, VAT excluded. When you set your order you will pay shipment charges and prices with VAT excluded for the products in your cart. At the time of the delivery you are asked to pay the Swiss VAT (8%) and the customs fees.

MAY I ASK FOR DISCOUNTS?

The prices reported in the section ONLINE SHOP are promotional ones and therefore they already include a discount. It is possible to get further discounts by using discount codes and periodic promotions described in our newsletter or by contacting our furniture consultants.

PRODUCTION, SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY

HOW LONG ARE YOUR PRODUCTION TIMES?

All BertO articles are produced on demand except for those in the OUTLET section. In the product data sheet you can find our estimated production times which can vary between 2 and 6 weeks. For any special request (for instance, Christmas time and summer months) we kindly ask you to contact our furniture consultants at the number +39-0362-333082 some time in advance.

WHAT IS YOUR DELIVERY TIME?

Our estimated delivery time is indicated in our product data sheets and can vary between 1 and 2 weeks depending on the destination of the goods. We will do our best to respect the established delivery time, but during Christmas time and summer holidays our scheduled delivery time can be subjected to important delays which will be previously communicated anyway.

WHO IS IN CHARGE OF THE SHIPMENT?

In order to guarantee a correct treatment of our products, BertO uses his own transport service and delivery with highly qualified people. As an alternative we can count on partner carriers that are specialized in the transport of furniture items. Just in case of items that can be easily handled like poufs and armchair beds we use express carrier.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE THE DELIVERY?

The standard delivery includes the unloading of the goods at street level that means at the nearest point from the main entrance indicated on the order. The customer will be required to provide all necessary solutions to make the uploading as easy as possible and is in charge of taking the goods inside his flat. In order to organize the delivery of the goods, the customer will be contacted by phone and/or by email some days in advance. On demand we can even organize the delivery on the floor and an assembly service. We invite you to contact our customer service for more information and ask for a custom made quote.

RETURN OF THE GOODS

ARE THE PRODUCTS SUBJECTED TO THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL?

The buyer has the right to withdraw from the contract without paying any fee and without reason within 14 working days from the delivery day. Therefore all BertO products in the section ONLINE SHOP are “money back guarantee”. For more information about the right of withdrawal we kindly ask you to read our General Conditions of Sale.

IS THERE ANY PRODUCT WHICH IS NOT SUBJECTED TO THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL?

The buyer cannot carry out the right of withdrawal on custom made or personalized items. In this category we include all items ordered with different characteristics compared to those indicated in the dropdown menu of the product data sheet. The right of withdrawal cannot even be carried out on sealed items that cannot be replaced after opening due to hygienic reasons.
