DESCRIPTION
Designed by the Castello Lagravinese Studio, the David sofa adapts seamlessly to your lifestyle, offering endless possibilities for customisation. You can configure it by combining 24 different modules, choosing from classic linear arrangements - 237, 267, or 307 cm - or creating a bespoke composition using its chaise longue and end modules.
One of the first things you’ll notice is its visual lightness: David appears to float, as if defying gravity. This striking effect is made possible by an innovative structure that completely conceals the feet, giving the sofa an elegant, “floating” silhouette.
The armrest is available in two distinctive variations:
- A soft feather cushion, perfectly balanced to offer plush, inviting support.
- A natural oak tray with integrated wireless charging technology for your devices—ideal as a functional tabletop.
Both options feature a USB-C port integrated directly into the base of the armrest, so you can keep your devices within easy reach and fully charged at all times.
The seat is crafted using advanced technology that combines layers of technical materials with a down quilt, offering both comfort and structure. The backrest is available in two styles:
- A single cushion, for a deep, minimalist seating experience.
- A double cushion, for a more enveloping and sculpted feel.
The David sofa’s structure is designed with the BertO system, which eliminates nails and staples in favour of durable, removable technical components - fully aligned with circular economy principles.
David also stands out for its exclusive Space leather upholstery, developed in collaboration with a leading Italian tannery.
This leather is engineered to resist the wear and tear of daily life - coffee, tea, or wine stains won’t affect its integrity, thanks to an advanced protective system that maintains the elegance of the material over time.
Custom-made for BertO, the leather features a refined texture designed to enhance David’s geometric lines and harmonise beautifully with any living space. For maximum practicality and ease of maintenance, the sofa comes with fully removable covers—both in leather and fabric versions.

Structure and seat: tubular metal frame, with high-strength vertical and horizontal interwoven elastic straps, then padded with polyurethane foam in different densities.
Backrests: in fire-retardant polyurethane foam with tubular metal insert. The upholstery is padded with goose down.
Seat cushions: polyurethane foam padding in different densities, with upper quilting in channelled goose down.
Back cushions: filled with channelled goose down.
Armrest/tray: bronze-coloured lacquered mdf leg and armrest with wooden panel covered in polyurethane foam and channelled goose down quilting, or tray in veneered mdf and solid wood perimeter shaping.
Feet: varnished 5-axis solid wood feet and floor support with gripping rubber.
Electronic components: The David sofa has two USB-C inputs integrated in the armrest bases. In the version with a natural oak tray, the armrest is equipped with a wireless charger.
Upholstery: in fabric or leather with completely removable covers.
Comfort: modular comfort and enveloping as an embrace.
