BertO takes part in the Milan Design Film Festival 2020

BertO participates in the Milan Design Film Festival 2020

The 2020 edition of the Milan Film Festival has seen the beginning of a new, exciting collaboration between MDFF and BertO.

BertO has decided to support the festival by furnishing a hall in the Franco Parenti Theatre in Milan, venue of the recording of the talk-shows, with some of the iconic pieces from their collection revised especially for this occasion.

Re-connecting is the theme of the 2020 edition of the MDFF
The aim is to re-focus our attention on the priorities of our collective living by investigating methods of design and their application and by demonstrating how architecture and design can contribute to re-connecting us and so enhance our human experience.

The festival will be entirely digital, visible in streaming in the MDFF web site.
All the films in the festival, together with the relative in-depth discussions with several distinguished guests, will be available from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th November.

BertO, a society which has always followed closely all the issues connected to Made in Italy and the importance of a high-quality production chain, has supported this event also with the participation of Filippo Berto in the discussion regarding the design of the future which will take place on Friday 6th November, in association with the film Paradigma Olivetti directed by Davide Maffei.

The discussion offers much food for thought on the themes regarding the brand names rooted in the territory and present on the international market and it discusses the strongly established corporate responsibility of the societies which aim at the well-being of the people involved and the territory in which it is located.

The debate is moderated by the curator of the Festival Silvia Robertazzi and the participants, as well as Filippo Berto, include Luisa Collina – Head of the Scuola del Design-Politecnico di Milano Bovisa - Lorenzo de Bartolomeis – winner of the first Compasso d’Oro award for Hannes, the robotic hand designed for IIT Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, INAIL Centro Protesi - and Francesca Valan – lecturer and researcher for Design del Colore.

For this occasion, BertO has realised a limited edition of the armchairs model Hanna and Emilia, placed with Circus coffee tables with the top in Carrara or black Marquina marble.
