The IGGY sofa arrives at MAXXI in Rome following the XXIX Compasso d’Oro ADI

IGGY sofa on display at the MAXXI Museum

The IGGY sofa, designed by Castello Lagravinese Studio, arrives at one of Italy’s landmark venues for contemporary culture and design: MAXXI – the National Museum of 21st Century Arts in Rome, after being featured in the 29th edition of the Compasso d’Oro ADI.

The exhibition, inaugurated on Tuesday, 6 October, will be open to the public from 7 to 30 October 2026 in the EXTRA MAXXI spaces in Rome.

IGGY brings together design research, comfort, technology and Made in Meda craftsmanship.

The project reimagines the sofa as a system that adapts to different spaces, needs and lifestyles.
Its modular structure – 24 modules – allows for numerous configurations, combining different elements to create arrangements that bring a personal, dynamic approach to the living space.

The exhibition at MAXXI is a special opportunity to experience IGGY up close: a sofa that shares a distinctive vision of design with the world – innovative, functional and deeply rooted in craftsmanship.
