Creating a Dream Design project as a whole, from the very beginning and in all its detail, is a bit like composing music.
Rhythm and melody must work together for a stunning result that captivates the audience.
And at BertO, design is truly a matter of style and harmony between the accessories in the Collections, aspects that have won over two very special professionals: Silvia Ottanà and Cristian Milani.
Cristian is a music producer and Silvia is a musician, a bass player.
Together they have decided to live in a beautiful loft on the Navigli overlooking the skyline of Milan.
The design challenge we faced at BertO was to work on a totally open, light-filled room with very high ceilings, delimiting the spaces by the selection and arrangement of the furniture.
Next to the kitchen, we proposed the CJ table made in large dimensions, with a Carrara marble top and matched with the Jackie Wood chairs.
In the centre, the choice fell on a large Joey sofa upholstered in lead grey Giglio fabric.
At the opposite end, on the other hand, the design envisages a more intimate seating area: surrounded by Patti armchairs with Vienna straw backrests, relaxation takes the form of the Dee Dee Home Cinema sofa, with a very deep seat and upholstered in forest green Giglio fabric, coordinated with the wallpaper and the Ian bookcase in Canaletto walnut.
The result is a very sophisticated and original scheme, totally in line with their personality: a living area transformed into a place of relaxation and conviviality to welcome friends and musicians, without ever losing the more intimate dimension of family life.
