"The future of design? It's in your hands". BertO's Made in Meda in Domus Magazine

"Made in Meda is the phenomenon which gave rise to design as we know it and as we appreciate it all over the world."

This is how Filippo Berto described MADE IN MEDA in an article in the March 2022 issue of Domus - the prestigious magazine dedicated to architecture, design and art.

Meda is the world capital of design, but it hasn't been able to promote itself and its talents.
This is why Filippo Berto decided to write the book "MADE IN MEDA: THE FUTURE OF DESIGN IS ALREADY A THOUSAND YEARS OLD".

The article published in the Opinions section of Domus is entitled "The future of design? it's in your hands" and takes up the last of the "10 theses for the future" mentioned in the book MADE IN MEDA.

What we'll experience in ten-twenty-thirty years depends on what we do or don't do today.
What our children will experience depends on what we choose to do or not to do today.
What we'll be remembered for depends directly on what we're striving for at this moment."

This is why BertO is committed to tackling what Filippo Berto in his article calls "the new challenges": the environment, the relational dimension, personalisation and social responsibility.

It addresses them through research, for example, by setting up BertO Studio @ LOM, a permanent research laboratory dedicated to design, sustainability and the transformation of living spaces.

Through solidarity projects, such as BertO 5 % or the sale of the book "Doing business without a manual" (written in collaboration with Mauro Baricca) to support the association ODV un Nuovo Dono.
