The magazine DDN (n. 213) dedicates an article about the artisan world, a world recently very well represented by some companies during Fuori Salone in Milan.
Giulia Bruno gives “The voice to the artisans” describing “old historical laboratories and others new ones where you have the possibility of learning new professions, where the fathers’ way of working is enriched by the academic competence of young designers; new projects with classical ideas show the meaning of a cosmopolitan craftsmanship.”
The Collection Sofa4manhattan was presented at Residenze Litta last April: the project by BertO and Design-Apart gave a new life to exclusive custom made sofas created between New York and Meda, designed by Lera Moiseeva in cooperation with Luca Nichetto.
“Uncountable combinations among sail-shaped backrests, square or rectangular multiple upholstered seats, linear or angular basis, with saddle stitching or in the version with contrasting colors, made of leather or fabric in many different colors.”
